The New Old-Time String Band

With a rich repertoire of traditional American roots music, the New Old-Time String Band is a regular in outdoor venues in the Washington, D.C. area.

The band features Northern Virginia legend "Speedy" Tolliver on fiddle.

The New Old-Time String Band released one CD in 2000: "Presenting Andrew Acosta and the New Old-Time String Band with Speedy Tolliver." Songs on the CD are "Staring at the Moon," "Listen to the Mockingbird," "Hold Watcha Got," "Back Up and Push," "Blues, Stay Away from Me," "Chicken Reel," "Orange Blossom Special," "Lonesome Feeling," "Keep It Clean," "Leave A Light On," "Liberty," "Down Yonder," and "Ragtime Annie/Golden Slippers."
