Biography:

Andrew Acosta is a traditional/roots/originals guitarist and singer from the Washington, D.C. area.

He grew up in Falls Church, Virginia, and began playing guitar at age 13. His guitar teachers included bluegrass pioneer Benny Cain and Piedmont-style blues guitarist John Jackson.

He began performing roots/country music around Washington in the 1970s and today performs both solo and as the leader of the New Old-Time String Band (with Roy "Speedy" Tolliver on fiddle).

Andrew has two self-produced CDs available, with a third in the works.
